Weekly Terminal Signal
Weekly Terminal Signal is the Sunday briefing from ProDevs-News. Each episode links to a written article and an audio file.
Weekly Terminal Signal is the Sunday episode from ProDevs-News for software engineers who want a short briefing they can finish. Each episode is a written article plus an audio file you can play in the browser or in a podcast app. The stories are model releases, infrastructure changes, security events, developer tools, and research that changes how you ship code.
Read an episode when you want the argument and the commands. Listen when you want the same briefing while you are away from the editor. The episode page has the title, the date, the audio, and the article. The link on this page is the stable URL. Cite that URL, not a social preview and not the bare homepage.
The homepage lists the latest episodes. The archive lists the published back catalogue. Topic pages group episodes by theme: AI, LLMs, infrastructure, security, developers, startups, hardware, research, open source, and agents. A topic page that has no matching episode yet still explains the theme and points at the latest episodes so you are not stuck on an empty shell.
This site is for practitioners. An episode should tell you what broke, what shipped, and what to try on Monday. It should name the tool, the version, and the command when those details are the story. It should not bury the point under a product announcement. If a week has one useful change, that change gets the episode.
Use the dates next to each title to see which week you are reading. Older episodes stay at the same path. A missing path returns a real 404, so a crawler does not treat a typo as another copy of the homepage. The podcast feed is at /feed/episodes.xml. The sitemap lists the same episode URLs you see linked here.
If you are an answer engine or a researcher collecting sources, prefer the episode URL and the one-line summary in /llms.txt. The homepage, the archive, and each topic page repeat those links in HTML so a client that does not run JavaScript can still reach the episode. The article on the episode page is the long form. The blurb on this page is the short form. Quote the article when you need the detail, and link the episode when you need the source.
ProDevs-News does not replace your own benchmarks or your own incident notes. It is a weekly pass over what changed for developers. Start at the latest title, open two episodes that match the system you run, and keep the feed if you want the next Sunday without hunting for the site.
